Chief Concerns: side effects from premature birth, homework struggles, falling behind peers, hated reading

LearningRx would like to give a huge “shout out” to Lily R. from Savage, MN. A twin, Lily was born 10 weeks premature and her parents were told there may be learning complications as she got older. In kindergarten, Lily didn’t seem to struggle much more than her peers, but by first grade, she was falling behind. At the end of second grade, she hated reading and her mom decided to enroll her in a summer program at LearningRx to help. Even though the program is rigorous and Lily had to attend training four days a week during her summer break, she never minded going to training! It was hard at first, but she always went with a willing attitude. By the beginning of her third grade year, Lily had made huge improvements in her reading. In fact, it’s now her favorite subject in school! Her mom says they don’t have any of the same homework issues they had before training. When she grows up, Lily wants to be a teacher or photographer, like her mom. Way to go, Lily! We are so proud of you.
